This weekend we went and stayed with some friends of ours. We had a three day weekend and so it was nice to have plenty of time to relax and to take the kids to do a couple of different things. We got up there Friday night and just hung out, ate dinner, visited, and the kids played. Then on Saturday, we went to the Jelly Belly Warehouse that is on the border of IL and WI. The kids loved it!!! We took a train ride around the warehouse and learned how they make Jelly Belly. Then at the end of the tour, you are let loose in the Jelly Belly store to sample every Jelly Belly they make...and of course we bought some! Then we did some shopping at a local outlet mall. The kids munched on jellybeans all the way home. It was Addi's first time trying a jellybean and of course she loved them. The picture above was of Kurt holding Max as we waited in line for the tour. He was obsessed with Kurt's chin hair all weekend! It was pretty funny!

My favorite flavor...buttered popcorn and burnt marshmallow! Kurt's favorite flavor...pear! Addi's favorite flavor...all of them! ;)

Then on Sunday we took the kids to run off their energy at a local indoor play place called The Treehouse. It was really cool...it is literally a huge treehouse inside and the best part was it was made large enough for the adults to play too! ;) Being a holiday weekend, it wasn't busy at all, so it was perfect!
This was the first time coming down the slide and it was super fast. She got freaked out and tried to grab onto the side to slow down and instead just flipped herself over. She screamed the whole way down. We thought it was over!

This time she came down with Katie and liked it much better.
So this time, she wanted to go down with me and Miles and his mommy Katie. At the end of the ride, she stuck her arm between my leg and the slide and it twisted it...so it was drama all over again. She informed me after this that she only wanted to go down the slide with daddy. And that was exactly what she did. Thanks kid! Thanks for making me feel really bad! ;)

OHHHHH! I'm so jealous! One of my favorite memories of the little family is when we would get a bag of mixed jelly belly's and pour them out and then take turns picking one at a time...and trying to guess the flavor! My favorites were the toasted marshmallow, the buttered popcorn, and the coconut! Sounds like you had a great time.....we did too!
