Ho Ho's Lap

We had a busy but fun weekend!! Our friends Kate and Kalle came down and stayed with us Saturday and Sunday. They have a little boy named Miles that will be two in January. The kids played really well together and we kept them VERY busy! On Saturday we took them to Santa Land where they got to spend some time with Santa and Mrs. Claus and meet a few of Santa's reindeer in training. Every time I ask Addison if she is going to sit on Santa's lap she says "No, mommy sit Ho Ho's lap!" So I was not sure if it was going to happen or not this year. We met the most awesome Santa on Saturday at Santa Land...he spent tons of time with each kid and read them a book and he did eventually get Addi to sit on his lap. This place is at the Grand Prairie Mall in Peoria and is just an empty store that they decorated for Christmas. It has some other things for kids to do too but we only visited Santa and his reindeer. The reindeer were great too and the kids got to pet and feed them. Then we took them on a choo choo train ride and to see the Festival of Lights in East Peoria. The lights were a huge hit...they kept squealing at all the different lights. We also celebrated the kid's birthdays with some cookies and exchanged gifts since we can't be together on their birthdays. We had a very nice weekend!
