Thanksgiving weekend just flew by. I seriously think it is the busiest four days of the year for us!! This picture sums it all up!
We celebrated Thanksgiving at my parent's house and Kurt's mom, dad, and sister joined us along with my brother and his family, and my uncle, cousin, and her fiance. My mom made a great dinner and we just enjoyed everyone's company!
Then on Friday we watched the 124th Santa Claus parade in Peoria. It is the longest running Santa Claus parade in the nation...which is pretty cool. They do a good job and Addi always loves it! This year, her cousins Ada and Lola joined us. Averie fell asleep as soon as we got there and pretty much missed the whole thing. Later that afternoon, we took Addi to see the new Muppet Movie which was sooooo cute! Averie stayed home with her Momo.
Saturday we spent the day rearranging furniture to fit the tree in the living room and decorating for Christmas. Then on Sunday we got our tree. Almost every year, since I was a little girl, we go to Grady's Christmas Tree Farm and cut down our own tree. This was Addi's fifth year going and Averie's first. Sadly, this year was a bust!!! The cold temperatures have hit the Pepperell family hard this year!!! Averie has had a runny nose for over a week now and today she added a cough to it and Addison decided to get Croup from a friend of hers...so, Averie slept the whole time we were at the Christmas tree farm and Addi walked just a bit and then wanted to go sit in the car with her Momo. So both girls missed out this year. And this was the only picture I got of Kurt and my dad cutting down our tree. Oh well, maybe next year! Tis' the season!

Averie's picture says it all! That is how I felt on Sunday night. Can't wait to see the finished product of your tree. Just think of this as another memory you will laugh about...someday! ;)
