We hope everyone had a happy Fourth of July. Ours was very soggy!! We were really looking forward to the day...we had family over to our house for a neighborhood parade, cookout, and then fireworks, BUT...it literally rained most of the day and so the parade was canceled and we were all trapped in the house and the garage the whole day. Our power also went out for a few hours but thankfully, the rain quit just in time for us all to get bundled up in sweatshirts and blankets to watch the fireworks. Peoria does an awesome job with the fireworks, so we were happy we got to enjoy those. We enjoyed everyones company but wish we could have had better weather, it was a really unusual summer day!!
In other news...Addi is 21 months old today. She is definitely approaching that two year old stage!! She is repeating all kinds of words, loves animal sounds, loves looking at photographs and naming the people in them, loves playing with her baby dolls, and is starting to tell us when she has dirtied her diaper so I am sure potty training is right around the corner. She has so much energy and is a very playful little girl, is very interested in boo-boos, and LOVES to be outside and go for stroller rides around the neighborhood. It is crazy that we will be celebrating her second birthday in three short months!!

Although I was sorry it rained out our parade, the rain certainly didn't keep us from having a great time. We had a really nice time. You are such great hosts!!!! We were so busy with those three girls that I hardly noticed those raindrops!
The rain was a bit of a downer, but as usual we made the best of things and had a great time! It was so fun to see the cousins play together. Aunt Kasey's idea of decorating the cake was a big hit. I loved it when Addi stuck her finger in the icing. Smart girl! Thanks for hosting the party!
