This past weekend we reshingled the roof of our house! With some help from friends and family and a lot of elbow grease, we got it done!! We had been planning to do it for weeks but after 9 consecutive weekends of rain, we got lucky and had the most perfect weather we could have asked for....no rain and temperatures in the 70's every day. So we started on Friday by ripping off all of the shingles and then spent all of Saturday putting on the new shingles. Then on Sunday we finished up and spent most the day cleaning the mess up. It makes the house look totally different and we have gotten several nice comments from many of our neighbors!! Thankfully no one fell off the roof, which was a major concern of mine...although, Kurt did break his big toe by dropping a ladder on it, but it didn't stop him. He did, however, inform me that this would be his last roof he ever does because he was getting too old for this!! The guys were exhausted by the end of the weekend but we sure do appreciate everyone that helped us out!! Thanks to Ryan, Tom, Andy, Amanda, and DJ!!
