Today was Addi's first birthday!! First of all, we wanted to thank our friends and family who were able to make it to her party and for all of the wonderful gifts. You all made her day so special. We enjoyed everyone's company!! She had such a great day!! She LOVED her cupcake and was not too terribly messy with it, she just enjoyed it!! She also had fun playing with balloons and opening gifts. There was not much time to play with many of the toys today before she went to bed so we are looking forward to exploring them tomorrow!! The day just flew by much like this past year!! We cannot believe a year has passed. Kurt and I kept talking about what we were doing a year ago today and it is crazy to see how far we have come. In just a year she has learned so much and we really do wonder where the time has gone!! The whole process of pregnancy, birthing, and then raising a child is truely a miracle and we feel so blessed to be able to experience it! We enjoy every day with Addi and are so proud of what she has accomplished so far!! It was a very busy weekend!

Katie and Miles are coming to visit on Wednesday and staying with us for a couple of days. Then we are going to make a road trip back up to Chicago for the weekend; our friend Patrick is getting married this weekend. We also get to stay with Kyle and Marissa on Saturday night. Then on Sunday we are going to hurry home because Michele and Grace will be in town, so we get to spend the day with them. We are really looking forward to another crazy week.
